Masters hosts the 11 O'Clock Rewind every
day after the Howard Stern show. But where
did Steve Masters come from, you ask? Steve
Junior answers that question: "Steve
has been on the radio for a very long time.
I can't remember where he started but I
think it was on a pirate ship off the coast
of England. He played cool songs by The
Cure, Joy Division, Killing Joke and other
bands that no one really heard of at the
time. That was excellent! I think then he
went to college in Boston, where he studied
more radio and other subjects, I guess.
After that, he moved to San Francisco and
landed a job as a Hot Hits jock at K-I-T-S.
I'm not sure what they played because I
wasn't even alive yet but I heard the music
was weak so Steve helped change the station
to Modern Rock, where he played cool bands
like Depeche Mode, New Order and The Smiths.
Besides radio, my dad also likes to play
golf and ice hockey and snowboard and play
video games (some not all). That's about
it." |
